Electoral Roll

How do I register on the Church Electoral Roll?

  • Have you been coming to St Mary Magdalene’s Church for six months or more?
  • Have you been Baptised/Christened?
  • Are you aged 16 years+?

Joining the Roll is compulsory if you wish to stand for election to the PCC or other synodical council (Deanery, Diocesan or General Synod).

Joining the Roll gives you the right to attend and vote at the APCM (annual parochial church meeting).

It enables you to help in the democratic choosing of who stands on the decision making body of your church.

Notes:

1 Membership of the Electoral Roll is also open to members in good standing of a Church not in communion with the Church of England which subscribes to the doctrine of the Holy Trinity where those members are also prepared to declare themselves to be members of the Church of England.
2 If you have any problems over this form, please approach the clergy or lay people responsible for the parish, who will be pleased to help you.
3 In this for, “parish” means ecclesiastical parish.
